Nice! My school-based theatre experience found they forget to talk about shoes early enough to make it possible to find something affordable.
I second the keds/tennis shoe with sharpie/felt idea. I know that payless sometimes has saddle shoes.. but in my size... and I have baby feet so I doubt that will work. ;)
They still haven't figured out the shoes.

For a simple shoe solution --- how about plain white Keds?
I know saddle shoes would work, but Keds are probably easier to find and a little cheaper.

Excellent poodle skirts! (Can we have a close up of the poodles?) I second white Keds, if saddle shoes are not a possibility.
That's a lot of work!
Maybe you could attach felt or something to white sneakers for faux saddle shoes.

Or color the saddles with permanent markers? I'm so impressed ms. seamstress. And enjoying the memories of wearing poodle skirts on my own body :)

payless sells cheap saddle shoes.
