Which One?

Once again, I appeal to my readers to help solve a conundrum. Which necklace should Squidette wear next week? Both have sentimental value. The one on top is mine and depicts a lion and lamb laying together. It was given to me by Mike and was designed by a good friend of ours. The one on the bottom is a locket that my mother-in-law used to wear frequently and carries a huge amount of sentiment for Squidette. That said, we are not sure that either is appropriate and are not sure that we've found the right "look." (The earrings were also her grandmother's but we never saw them worn. After trying on a dozen pair, we finally hit on just the right ones. Poor kid's ears are sore now.)
No, I have not even started figuring out my own jewelery beyond my rings (standard wedding and engagement and for sentiment's sake, my grandmother's) Yes, in the grand scheme of things, this means nothing but since I am not fussing about a party, this gives me something to do.)

FWIW, I like the look of the shorter chain (#1) better with the dress, but does she have a preference? Best wishes!

I like the smaller/lighter chain as well, but whichever one gives squidette the most {hugs} is what she should wear. meaning whichever she likes better (or neither).

You always hand us these tough decisions...I like the Victorian look of the shrug plus locket in
#2.

For sure, the shorter one in photo 1. It brings attention to her youthful face. The second one draws attention to a more "mature" area best left for when she's older. Ahem.
Plus, the first one is smaller and more elegant for her young age.
And, if you want to get into the whole shape thing, the tapered shape also mimics her face shape.
Yeah, let's not get TOO technical. Go with #1 because you showed that one first. :)

I agree the shorter chain looks best but could her grandmother's locked be put on a shorter chain? Or a ribbon? Since it has such sentimental value to her, it would be great if it could somehow be worn.

I like the first one better. It seems more in proportion with the neckline of her dress.

Could she maybe wear the locket on a bracelet?

The first one. I agree with Dave.

Yep, the top one (lion/lamb, shorter chain) gets my vote as well.

She is looking positively lovely and growing up so much!
